Meet The Team
Gordon & Carole Hansen
Owners
We've been building businesses together since we got married in 2012 — but Groovy Hues feels like the one we were made for.
Gordon grew up around painting. It's in his blood — his family has been in the trade for generations, and he was excited to carry that tradition forward in a way that felt completely his own. Carole is an artist who has always believed that color has the power to transform a space and lift the spirit. When we found Groovy Hues, it felt like the perfect intersection of everything we love.
We're also the proud owners of two Papa John's Pizza franchises, and over the years we've learned that the thing that separates a good business from a great one is how much you genuinely care about the people you serve — customers and employees alike. We want the people who work with us to love coming to work, and we want our customers to feel like they gained a friend in the process.
We have three kids who keep us laughing, moving, and working harder than we ever thought possible. Our middle child, Hannah, was born with Down Syndrome in 2014. She is spunky, full of life, and has faced more medical challenges than any kid should have to — and she handles every single one of them with more grace than most adults we know. All three of our kids are our biggest inspiration and the reason we pour everything we have into building something we're proud of.
What we wanted to bring to Groovy Hues — and to South Jordan — is something we call unreasonable hospitality. The home services industry has a reputation for making people feel like a transaction. We wanted to change that. When we finish a project, we don't just want you to be satisfied — we want you to be genuinely delighted. That might mean Carole drops off a bouquet of flowers from her cut flower garden or chocolate chip cookies when your project is finished. It might mean Gordon takes an extra lap through every room because his eye for detail won't let him leave until it's exactly right. It always means you'll hear from us if anything comes up, and that we'll still be waving at you from across the street long after the job is done.
We also have a 1965 VW bus that tends to show up wherever we go — you'll know it when you see it.
We're so glad you're here. We'd love to earn your trust and your business.
