Experienced Painter / Painting Subcontractor

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Painter / Painting Subcontractor to join our team in South Jordan, UT. This role involves performing high-quality painting services on various construction projects, ensuring surfaces are properly prepared and finished to meet industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both surface preparation and application techniques, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Duties

• Operate paint sprayers, rollers, and brushes to apply coatings on diverse surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal adhesion and durability.
• Use ladders safely and effectively to access elevated areas during painting projects.
• Conduct structural painting tasks, including coating of structural elements and frameworks.
• Apply protective coatings and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Perform construction surface preparation tasks to ensure surfaces are ready for painting applications.
• Follow all safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe work environment throughout each project.

Requirements

• Must have all your own equipment, vehicle, etc.
• Must be licensed as a painting contractor in the state of Utah.
• Must have liability insurance, minimum 1 M.
• Must have workers’ comp insurance if you employ more than just yourself or a workers’s comp waiver.
• Proven experience as a painter or painting subcontractor with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in using paint sprayers, rollers, brushes, and other relevant tools.
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques specific to construction environments.
• Ability to work at heights using ladders safely and efficiently.
• Experience with structural painting and coating applications.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to painting and construction work.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Reliable transportation and tools necessary for on-site work in South Jordan, UT.
• OSHA 10 Certificate preferred.
