Our Greater Knoxville Team

Josh is the owner of Groovy Hues of Greater Knoxville and a resident of West Knoxville. He and his wife planted roots here nearly 10 years ago after the birth of their first child in order to be closer to Knoxville-area friends and family. Now with three children, Josh and family can be found on any given weeknight or weekend with friends at parks, on hiking or mountain bike trails, deep in a kimura at the jiu jitsu academy, deep in rough on some golf course, or deep in thought over a coffee shop latte (and perhaps enjoying your thoughtful reviews!). Josh entrusts the day-to-day operations of the business to Groovy Hues’ incomparable General Manager, Juli Kirby.

Brandi Wheaton is the Residential Manager of Groovy Hues Painting of Knoxville, where she leads a team that specializes in high-quality residential painting services. Brandi has played a pivotal role in making Groovy Hues a trusted name for quality painting services. With a strong background in customer service and logistics, Brandi thrives under pressure and drives operational excellence. She understands that an exceptional painting experience begins and ends with responsive communication and attention to detail.

From custom color matching to wallpaper installation and textured ceiling work, Brandi ensures that every project is professionally managed and backed by a two-year workmanship guarantee.

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her two daughters, exploring the beautiful Smoky Mountains, and cheering on the Tennessee Vols — Go Big Orange!

Also a lifelong East Tennessee resident, Will brings nearly 15 years of painting experience to the Groovy Hues operation. He followed a disciplined track to expertise, from apprentice to painter to foreman and eventually the proud owner of a small-but-successful painting business; he joined Groovy Hues, in his own words, “to a be part of something much bigger.” Will has a wealth of experience in residential repainting, new homes, and commercial painting services. Prior to his painting career, Will served our nation as a deployed Army infantryman, having trained as Ranger and Airborne. For Groovy Hues, Will sets the tone and holds the standard in our crews to ensure that you are satisfied with our work and your experience.

Danny Lopez joined the Groovy Hues team and quickly become one of our favorite members! As our new Residential Project Manager, he brings a wealth of experience in Quality Control and ensures that every detail is taken care of. We can now offer full bilingual service with his addition. Outside of work, Danny loves to spend time cooking delicious, authentic Mexican dishes with his family, and he's also a car enthusiast who enjoys working on vehicles. We’re thrilled to have him on board!
